The SMB Series Surface Mount Boxes provide a flexible and reliable solution for adding network connections in open offices, modular furniture, or visible cabling zones. Available in 1, 2, 4, 6, and 12-port versions, these boxes support a wide range of applications from single-user drops to Multi-User Telecommunications Outlet Assemblies (MUTOA) as defined in ANSI/TIA-568.1-E.
For small setups, 1- and 2-port boxes deliver everyday connectivity using adhesive or screw mounting near pathway exits. For multimedia applications, the 4- and 6-port models can host Quick-Snap bezels preloaded with voice, data, A/V, CATV, BNC, fiber, HDMI, or USB adaptors. At higher density, the 12-port SMB12 serves as a MUTOA, consolidating multiple horizontal cables in accessible locations like structural columns, with patch cords routed to end devices.
